Guilbert Express offers a range of shrink guns that allow you to carry out many different jobs: wrapping and packaging, winterising, palletising, containment, thermal-wrapping, pipeline work, floor marking, sealing solutions, disinfection, weed control, de-icing in case of frost, etc. You can therefore select your tool according to your needs.
The Rafale shrink gun and the Wizz gun, common points
Let’s start with the common points between two products: Rafale and Wizz. Both shrink guns come in their own carrying case, which is very practical for storing tool accessories – regulator, pressure gauge, hose – as well as protective gear, such as gloves and goggles.
Like all Express tools, the shrink guns snap on to their gas supply with a single movement. Piezo ignition is automatic. The burners can be rotated 360° for perfect manoeuvrability and to ensure real time savings.
Both shrink guns are guaranteed for two years.
Features of the Rafale shrink gun
Rafale connects to a 13 or 35kg propane cylinder. It is equipped with a safety system that guarantees its extinction if you release the trigger. Its folding hook allows it to be rested on the workstation.
It is ignited by automatic Piezo and it starts by simply pressing the trigger. You then have the folding attachment hook to rest the device.
The trigger controls the heating power and the operator modulates it by pressing it more or less hard. You get a flame that can measure up to 150 millimetres.
As the shrink gun can be used for long periods of time, its weight has been reduced to just over 1 kg. Its sound level has been lowered to 88 db at 1 m, which eliminates the need for hearing protection.
The swivel mounting fitting is made of high-strength hardened steel to prevent the supply hose from twisting. To further enhance safety, a safety valve is automatically triggered if the hose breaks.
The shrink gun has two power ratings: 24 to 43 kW for the Rafale and 37 to 65 kW for the Rafale+.
Features of the Wizz shrink gun
The Wizz shrink gun is even lighter at only 650 grams. Its ignition is also carried out with a Piezo which has the advantage of being able to be changed without tools. A spare Piezo trigger is included in your original case.
The Wizz shrink gun has 3 positions: storage, ignition, or lance change. The Wizz is more versatile because it is modular. It has a burner range from 50 to 150 kW and you don’t need a tool to switch from one lance to another.
The Wizz is equipped with a safety valve in the event of the hose breaking, as well as a safety handle. If you let go of the handle, the gun will turn off.
In all, the shrink gun is available in 6 versions. This gives you a wide choice of power, but also of lance lengths. The shape of the lances can also be adapted to your needs, they can be straight or bent.
The flame length ranges from 650 to 1000 millimetres and its diameter measures 110 to 130 millimetres.
The shrink gun is ideally suited for large-scale work, such as shrinking for large volumes, containment and thermal-covering of buildings and ships, as well as for welding work on pipelines.
