Shrink Express offers you an all-in-one strapping kit for working without tools. It is designed for accurate work, with controlled tension for all your packages and packaging, including boat wintering. Robust and versatile, no pliers required to place it and you only use the self-locking buckles provided in the kit.
The contents of the all-in-one strapping kit
The all-in-one strapping kit is packed in a compact cardboard box. It is fitted with a reel to unroll your polypropylene strap to the exact required length to prevent waste.
Access to the front part of the box allows to grasp the self-locking buckles, designed to tie both ends of the strap to complete your strapping.
Resistant materials, suitable for all uses
The strap of the strapping kit is made of high-strength polypropylene which can withstand a tension of 130 kilos. It is 12 mm wide, 0.50 mm thick and 750 metres long. It is resistant to temperature variations, and can be used for indoor or outdoor storage.
There are 250 self-locking buckles that hold the strap in place and adjust the tension accurately, depending on the contents to be strapped, without the use of pliers or other tools.
You can use your strapping kit according to your needs: Closing of packages and various packagings, securing on pallets, etc. Your goods are thus perfectly secured, both for transport and storage.
This strapping kit is also very popular for boat wintering, not least because you don’t have to use a strapping tool, as with traditional strapping systems.
Strapping with the self-locking buckles enables you to prepare the heat shrink film passages easily, without the need for any tools. Simply place the strapping along the entire length of the ship or boat you are preparing for wintering. Simplify the task and save time, while ensuring a durable and robust, effective protection.
How to use your all-in-one strapping kit
Start by wrapping your package, pallet, boat or any other object to be packed, using your strap reel. This will allow you to accurately estimate the length you need. Cut the tape, leaving a reasonable margin. Allow about 20 centimetres, to have a good grip and then adjust the tension of the strapping.
Take a self-locking buckle from your kit. Pass one end of the pre-cut strip through the rectangular part of the buckle, then fold it back, pulling it out of the buckle.
Fold one of the two small tabs on the side of the buckle over the part of the strap that forms a loop. Pull on the end to tighten the strap on this tab.
Proceed in the same way with the other end of your strap. Once your second tab is folded, the two ends are now connected. All you have to do is pull on each side to tighten your strapping.
Once you have obtained the tension you want and your content is well maintained, cut off the excess part of the extremities, leaving only a few centimetres protruding.
